A group of cuddly characters from "My Bedbugs," the popular children's show on Detroit Public Television will be putting on a special performance and visiting hospitalized children at the William & Marie Carls Children's Medical Center at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak on Monday, January 10 at 6 p.m.
The main characters, Gooby, Toofy and Woozy, teach children important lessons via singing, dancing and through their special way of story telling.
"The Bedbugs characters are really going to surprise and delight our young patients," says Kathleen Grobbel, a Beaumont recreational therapist organizing the visit. "I can't wait to see the smiles and hear the laughter they'll bring our kids."
"My Bedbugs" is a children's program that was developed by a couple in Macomb Township that unites education and entertainment. Each episode delivers a collection of songs and playful adventures for young audiences to enjoy.
"My Bedbugs" can be seen on Detroit Public Television Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.
